Brasília – The projection for Brazilian Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth this year was adjusted from 2.53% to 2.57%, according to the Focus Readout published by the Central Bank this Monday (14). The prediction is from financial institutions consulted for the weekly publication. For the next three years, the estimate for growth is 2.5%.
Inflation, calculated by the Extended National Consumer Price Index (IPCA, the acronym in Portuguese) should be 4.02%. Last week, the IPCA projection was 4.01%. Estimates are still below the inflation target, which is 4.25%, with a tolerance range between 2.75% and 5.75% this year.
The projection by the financial market for the dollar value remains at BRL 3.80 for the end of the year and 2020.
