São Paulo – Hinting an expectation for the aviation market to boom again, Qatar Airways, the Qatari national airline, is rehiring former cabin crew. Without specifying in which countries it seeks to rehire its former employees, the company published on its website it is accepting applications until July 24.
“As the market conditions are improving, and our network is growing, we are now in a better position to bring back our valued former Cabin Crew, Qatar Airways’ Ambassadors, to the world,” states the airline. The Qatari airline says it will prioritize the rehiring of highly motivated professionals.
Earlier this year, Qatar Airways announced expanding its services to South America due to the extension of codeshare cooperation with Latam Airlines Brazil, increasing possibilities for passengers of the two companies to travel between Asia, the Middle East, and South America.
At the time of the announcement, the company also reported increasing its nonstop flights between São Paulo and Doha. Currently operating a daily service on the route, it communicated to travel agencies it will have two additional flights starting in July and two more starting in August.
