Ras Al Khaimah – Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, registered an increase of 14% in the number of international visitors in the year’s first six months, according to the emirate’s Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA). The information was published by the Emirates News Agency (WAM).
The highlights among source markets were Russia, Germany and the United Kingdom, the Nordic region, Czech Republic, Kazakhstan, Poland and Saudi Arabia. The adventure tourism has been growing in the emirate, according to WAM.
Hotel occupancy rates reached 73.3%, up 5.5% from H1 2017.
The emirate expects to see over million tourists by the end of 2018 and 3 million by 2025, with revenue coming out to AED 3.5 billion (USD 953 million).
