São Paulo – The reopening of coffeeshops following the first impacts of the novel coronavirus pandemic will be one topic discussed in the International Coffee Week (SIC). The panel ‘São Paulo: Reopening Coffeeshops & Businesses’ takes place on Wednesday (18) at noon (BRT). The event will be online and free of charge and feature Diego Gonzales of Sofá Café, Vitor Saponik of Caffè Latte and Ana Oliveira and Daniel Tavares of O Cabral Café, as well as Brazil Arab News Agency (ANBA) reporter Thais Fernandes.
From March to July, restaurants and coffeeshops in the state of São Paulo remained closed to curb the spread of coronavirus cases. In the debate, three company owners will tell how they face these months and the alternatives they found to keep their businesses running.
Held every year in Belo Horizonte, 2020 SIC will feature an exclusive content platform. The program runs from November 18 to 20 and will be entirely online and free of charge. The event brings together farmers, cafés, and roasters, as well as coffee lovers and domestic and foreign buyers.
In addition to lectures and debates, the event will feature an exhibition of companies, interviews, meetings, award ceremonies, courses, and contests, including Coffee of the Year Brasil, which choses Brazil’s best coffees.
