São Paulo – Revenues from retail sales in Brazil increased by 13.54% during the month of September in relation to the same month last year, according to information disclosed by the Brazilian Institute for Geography and Statistics (IBGE). Sales volume increased by 8.87%. The only states where sales did not increase were Roraima (in the north of Brazil) and Piauí (in the northeast). During the last 12 months, up to September, the increase in sales volume was of 6.72%, and revenue was 11,70% greater. The information is from the IBGE spokesman.
