São Paulo – Brazilian machinery and equipment industry revenues have risen 21.1% in the first six months of the year, according to a study by the Brazilian Machinery Manufacturers Association (Abimaq).
This growth reflects investment made by Brazilian industries to increase production and for modernization. Machinery producer revenues have risen from around US$ 5.5 billion between January and June 2003 to US$ 6.7 billion in the same period this year (figures calculated using the exchange rate of July 30, 2004).
