São Paulo – Saudi Entertainment Ventures, a company owned by a Saudi government fund, announced that it plans on building the first-ever entertainment complex in Riyadh (foto), capital do país. A informação foi divulgada esta semana pela Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The project will be set on the intersection the city’s Eastern Ring Road and King Abdullah Road, spanning nearly 100,000 sqm. No launch date has been set yet. The complex is reportedly designed using state-of-the-art methods and will feature a gamut of leisure facilities for natives and tourists alike.
Saudi Entertainment Ventures board chairman Abdullah Bin Nasser Al-Dawoud said the project and others of its kind will feature modern design, green outdoor areas, sports activities, entertainment and live shows. The project also includes a wide range of restaurants, cafés and movie theaters.
Al-Dawoud said the area will be great for sports, picnics and the arts. The Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia expects Saudi Entertainment Ventures projects to cater to over 50 million users per year. It is also expected to offer over 22,000 direct jobs and add SAR 8 billion (USD 1.9 billion) to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by 2030.
The opening of movie theaters, international sports events and other leisure options are part of the Vision 2030 plan, designed to diversify the economy and modernize national customs.
