São Paulo – Sabic Innovative Plastics, the engineering thermoplastics unit of Saudi petrochemical company Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (Sabic), should participate in the Brasilplast, a fair to take place in São Paulo from today (4th) to Friday. According to information disclosed by the company, the organisation should have an interactive stand to show the applications of its products in several areas.
Among the items exhibited should be vehicles, like an electric car and bicycle, musical instruments and resin made from the recycling of PET bottles. The company also makes inputs used in the field of civil construction, health, safety and household appliances.
"The idea is to set up a space for experimentation. We want to show the public, in an interactive manner, how our engineering thermoplastics help make possible the production of innovative items," said the president of the company for South America, Ricardo Knecht, in a company press statement.
Sabic Innovative Plastics was born from the acquisition, by Sabic, of GE Plastics, which belonged to the North American General Electric. The company, according to the press statement, has operations in over 25 countries, among them Brazil, and employs around 9,500 people.
The 12th edition of Brasilplast, according to information disclosed by the organizers of the fair, should receive 1,300 exhibitors from 30 countries and 65,000 visitors.
