São Paulo – Ibovespa, the main index of the São Paulo Stock Exchange (Bovespa), ended the week on a new nominal record at 96,096 points this Friday (18), up 0.78% from Thursday. Ibovespa is up 5.58% since the beginning of the year.
The biggest-gaining shares were Natura (cosmetics), Eletrobras (energy), Marfrig (meat packer) and Fleury (clinical analysis). The biggest-losing shares were Embraer (aviation), Kroton (education), Smiles (mileage program), Braskem (petrochemicals) and B2W Digital (e-trade).
The US dollar also ended the week up, by 0.22% on Friday to BRL 3.756.
