São Paulo – Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Economy and Planning, Faisal bin Fadel Alibrahim met on Monday (22) with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Brazil, Mauro Vieira, on the sidelines of the G20 Development Ministerial Meeting being held in Rio de Janeiro.
According to information made public by Brazil’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs following the meeting, the Saudi minister ensured Saudi Arabia will fully engage in the Global Alliance against Hunger and Poverty and manifested great interest from his country in strengthening bilateral relations with Brazil.
Alliance against Hunger
The Global Alliance against Hunger and Poverty, spearheaded by Brazil’s President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva will be officially launched on Wednesday (24) as part of the country’s agenda while holding the presidency of the G20.
