São Paulo – Saudi Arabia and Russia, the two countries that played each other in the FIFA 2018 World Cup opener, will establish a cooperation effort in the oil and gas sector. The news was published by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the official news outlet of the Arab country.
Saudi Arabia’s minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources, Khalil bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih (picture), met with Russia’s minister of Energy, Alexander Novak, as a result of the trip of the Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, to Russia.
Both countries have committed to seek a balance in the global oil market, promoting shared responsibility by the oil production countries and consumers.
They also pledged to reinforce investments in the oil and gas sector to meet the increasing demand, promote energy efficiency and sustainability, among other commitments.
