São Paulo – The dollar began this month of September surpassing the BRL 4.15 barrier when it rose 1.95% this Monday (03) to BRL 4.152, the second-highest price since January 2016, when it reached BRL 4.165.
In August, the North American currency saw an appreciation of 8.46%, the highest since September 2015.
The Ibovespa, the main index of the São Paulo Stock Exchange (Bovespa), went down 0.63% to 76,192 points in the month’s first trading day. Petrobras’ shares followed the trend, dropping 1.35%.
