São Paulo – A group of 24 Brazilian shoe factories are going to participate from Sunday (5) to next Tuesday (7) in the GDS, the largest shoe sector fair in the world, which takes place in Düesseldorf, Germany. This information was disclosed by a spokesperson for the Brazilian Association of Shoe Manufacturers (Abicalçados).
The Brazilian collective stand will include three daily fashion shows. The companies to show their products will be Pimpolho, Beira Rio, Bottero, Pegada, Ramarim, Samello, Siboney, Try On, H.Betarello, Kiuty, Renée Shoes, Sapatoterapia and Werner. Companies Azaléia, Bical, Via Uno, Pampili, Bibi, Itapuã, Dakota, GVD, Klin, Pé com Pé and Studio TMLS are exhibiting individually.
GDS is a strategic fair for the Brazilians as it receives visitors from all around the world. In September 2005, the last edition of the fair, importers from 68 countries visited the Brazilian stand and generated a sales volume of approximately US$ 10.6 million.
