São Paulo – Oman’s Sohar Free Zone and Port will assist in training young people from the Arab country in logistics. An agreement was signed on Thursday (5) between the company and Oman’s Youth Center to support the center’s logistics program.
According to information released by state news agency ONA, logistics is one of the most promising and constantly growing sectors in Oman. The sector is advancing mainly in the context of the development of Sohar Port, ONA reported.
Sohar Port and Oman Youth Centre
Sohar Port has deep waters and easy access to other Gulf countries, with a strategic location between Muscat, the capital of Oman, and Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It operates alongside a free zone, which spans 4,500 hectares. According to statistics released by the free zone, 19% of the companies based there are in the logistics sector.
The Oman Youth Centre develops young talent in various sectors, always in partnership with government and private agencies, as well as civil society organizations. This work is part of the country’s development strategy Vision 2040.
