São Paulo – A Brazilian and a Somali will be involved in a United Nations (UN) project for the International Women’s Day, which is celebrated on March 8th. The Brazilian Bebel Gilberto recorded, with over 20 musicians from several parts of the world, song "One Woman", inspired on the stories of women supported by the UN.
The song was written by Graham Lyle and by Somali coordinator and composer Fahan Hassan. The initiative of recording the song is the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women). All online sales revenues of songs on iTunes and Amazon will go directly to UN Women in support of its programmes for the training of women.
