Southern Brazilian artisans make items from oil residue
This week, a group of artisans from the city of Canoas introduced to the public their first collection of purses, lighting fixtures, costume jewellery, and panels made of petroleum residue. The pieces are manufactured using materials that otherwise would be disposed of by the oil industry, such as rubber.
