São Paulo – The Aurora winegrowing cooperative, wine producer based in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, won two medals in the Effervescents du Monde Award, which took place in Dijon, in the region of Burgundy, in France. Aurora won silver medals for the sparkling wines Aurora Brut (elaborated through the Charmat method, 100% Chardonnay grape) and Aurora Muscat (elaborated by the Italian Asti method).
The company is at the top of the rank of the Brazilian winegrowing companies with international prizes. There were 336 sparkling wine samples from 24 countries competing at the Effervescents du Monde, evaluated by 60 international judges, within the official criteria established by the Office International de la Vigne et du Vin (OIV).
