The businessman from the southern Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul is going to receive an award from the Brazilian Foreign Office (Itamaraty), the Order of Rio Branco, for having volunteered in the rescue of victims in various natural disasters. Taking a machine to cut concrete and iron, produced by his company, Bristol, over the last 20 years he has travelled to various countries affected by earthquakes, volcanoes and tsunamis.
