São Paulo – The former president of the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC), Sylvio Abdalla, passed away this Thursday (26) in the capital of São Paulo. The engineer headed the entity for two terms from 1977 to 1980. Abdalla had also been a member of the ABCC’s Guidance and Deliberation Council before his death.
Born on April 10, 1942, Sylvio Abdalla held a degree in Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (USP). The engineer was the son of a former president and co-founder of the ABCC, Wagih Assad Abdalla, and nephew of another former president and co-founder, Nabih Assad Abdalla.
The ABCC released a note on its social networks mourning his death, paying tribute to Sylvio Abdalla and offering its most heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. The Brazilian Association of Zebu Breeders (ABCZ) also released a note mourning Abdalla’s passing. He was a Nelore cattle breeder and member of the entity.
