São Paulo – The Syrian Arab Cultural Centre should promote, on Thursday (30), the Greater Traditional Culture Festival, a night with music and dance presentations from different countries and ethnic groups. The event should take place at 8:00 pm, at the institution’s Noble Hall, in the city of São Paulo.
The festival should include Arab dance by the Syrian-Arab Cultural Centre’s Folk Dance Group, Gypsy dance with Família Ramirez, popular Indian dance, contemporary dance and zambra, a kind of Arab Flamenco, and Samba with Imperatriz do Samba, from the city of Taboão da Serra.
Participation is open to the public in general and is for free. The Syrian-Arab Cultural Centre is an organisation maintained by the government of Syria and its objective is promotion of Arab culture in Brazil. Apart from artistic and cultural events, the Centre promotes Arabic courses.
