After sliding for four months on end, foreign sales of shoes from Brazil climbed in June over May. Year-over-year, however, exports are down almost 50%.

Year-on-year through April saw a hike in exports to Kuwait, Libya, Morocco, Bahrain, Oman, Sudan, Jordan and Tunisia.
Q1 saw shipped volume drop 14.6% year-on-year to 2.5 million pairs of shoes shipped, with revenue sliding 11.1% to USD 14.7 million.
Abicalçados reported a 0.9% decline in revenue and a 0.9% increase in volume shipped year on year. UAE were the 14th largest market of the year.
Year-to-date through November, exports of the product significantly climbed in volume.
Brazilian footwear exports to the United Arab Emirates hiked 86.4% in volume and 40.9% in revenue year-to-date through August from a year ago.
Brazil shipped 7.9 million pairs, up 65% year-on-year. Revenues climbed 44% to USD 84.35 million.
The United States purchased more, but the result is due to a decrease in sales to Argentina.
