Brazilian cosmetic, toiletry and perfumery industries grossed USD 133.5 million from exports in the first two months of the year. Hair products, soaps, and skin creams were the best-selling items.
Soaps manufactured in Brazil are gaining ground in the international market. ABIHPEC says it has been the sector’s second most exported item since 2015.
Brazilian manufacturers grossed USD 588.3 million from exports of toiletries, fragrances and cosmetics from January to September. Leading exports were hair care products and soaps.
Year to date through July, exports of cosmetics, toiletries and fragrances climbed 14%.
