The total volume for the month was 429,600 tonnes. Year-to-date, shipments totaled about two million tonnes. The United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia were among the main buyers.

Poultry genetic material shipments from Brazil totaled 5,100 tonnes from January to April. Day-old chicks and fertile eggs, among others, were exported.
Brazil increased international sales of halal poultry protein by 5% in the first two months of this year, according to ABPA. The period precedes Ramadan, which this year takes place from early April to early May.
The Arab country took the lead from China as the main destination of poultry exported from Brazil in February. It’s the first time the UAE ranks first in the list.
The companies that participated in the show in Dubai through a partnership between ABPA and ApexBrasil made sales of USD 50 million in loco and are expected to make exports at an even higher value over the next twelve months.
The innovation is part of an action carried out by Brazilian Duck, a sectoral project to promote Brazilian products abroad. Tasting is being held during the show in Dubai.
In January, Brazilian companies increased their poultry protein exports to the United Arab Emirates by 96.6%.
Revenue from hatching eggs and poultry genetic material exports from Brazil was up 26.7% last year. Volume was up 60.9%.
The Arab country continues to be the leading destination for Brazilian eggs and shipped 50% of the total exported volume. Overall exports grew 81.5% over the previous year.
Revenue from poultry exports totaled USD 7.66 billion last year and reached a record volume. Top Arab buyers were the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Yemen.
The Arab country purchased 59% of exports from Brazil year to date through November. Qatar, Oman and Saudi Arabia also stood out.

The United Arab Emirates, the third leading destination for the Brazilian product, increased purchases by 108% compared to the same month in 2020.
Shipments grew 21.3% and revenue 52%, indicating higher prices. The UAE were the third major destination, with an increase of 66% in purchases.
