The Brazilian food company is looking into processing product locally in the Arab country, where 60% of the poultry consumed is industrialized. Saudi Arabia is currently not purchasing product processed by BRF in its UAE facilities.

The Brazilian company is manufacturing processed poultry and beef items in Abu Dhabi, to cater to a growing demand in the UAE. Its facilities were visited by a delegation from Brazil this Saturday (21).
Industry representatives are hoping to take advantage of chicken sales to ship more product to markets including the Middle East.
The emirate imported USD 2.1 billion worth of food and agricultural products in 2018. The sum is down marginally from 2017 numbers.
The new process will save the Brazilian food company USD 130,000 and 72,000 cubic meters of water a year.
Tourists from Brazil are now the 20th country with most guests in the emirate’s hotel chain. The company wants to increase this participation by the Expo 2020.
