An International Monetary Fund staff team has released an end-of-mission statement on the country’s economy saying investment in green growth opportunities could boost Brazil’s economic potential.

Brazil’s Gross Domestic Product increased from April to June compared to the first three months of the year, mainly driven by the services sector. In the first half, the country grew by 2.5%.

Official figures show Brazil’s GDP grew by 1% in the first three months of 2022 over the previous quarter and 1.7% compared to the same period in 2021.
