The global sugar market is projected to continue growing, but with a looser supply and more moderate prices in the 2026/2027 harvest, according to Cepea. Brazilian production is estimated at 41–44 million metric tons.

The information is from a study conducted by the University of São Paulo’s Center for Advanced Studies on Applied Economics (CEPEA), in partnership with the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce.
The Center for Advanced Studies on Applied Economics (Cepea-USP) reported that despite a hike in foreign sales volume, lower prices led to a 2.7% drop in revenues.
The first half of the year saw 51,000 tons of product shipped. Sales to Arab countries as a whole also climbed.
