Assistant manager of CineSesc, Yunes was one of the founders of the Arab World Film Festival. She is a Lebanese Brazilian and talks about what it was like growing up in that culture.

The screenings will occur at CineSesc, in São Paulo, on the festival’s return to the in-person format, from August 31 to September 7. Three films will be available on the Sesc Digital platform.
The event is taking place online in two different platforms this year. It will continue until September 27.
The event’s 14th edition will run from August 7 to 14 featuring 12 Arab productions, seven of which were directed by women. The event will take place at Cinesesc, in São Paulo.
Debate about the production in the region took place at the African Film Festival. The feature film ‘Sofia,’ directed by the Moroccan filmmaker Meryem Benm’Barek, was part of the program.
