The Freakin’ Awesome dates by Al Foah are now being sold in 220 stores of the chain for two weeks. The introduction of the brand is a strategy to bring dates grown in the United Arab Emirates to all types of consumers in Brazil, including those with lower incomes.

The sole representative of Date Crown brand in Brazil, Julia de Biase, made an agreement with food manufacturer Vitao. Besides selling date jams, exporting made-in-Brazil date products are in the plans.
Supermarkets of the chain held a promotion campaign of the Date Crown dates in November. The product was the bestseller in the Fruit & Vegetable section.
The launch is taking place at Naturaltech, a trade show that specializes in healthy and natural products. The UAE-based company’s president has come to Brazil for the first time and participates in the show.
Following a successful career in the financial market, Brazil’s Rafael Gonçalves has lived in the UAE for four years and worked at two Arab companies. He is now the head of the world’s largest date firm, Al Foah.
Date Crown branded products entered the shelves of Brazil’s largest retailer this week, bringing new prospects to the consumption of dates among Brazilians. The deal was struck through representative Julia de Biase.
This Christmas’s best-seller, Ofner’s panettone with apricot and dates, is practically sold out. Another 10,000 are on production to be distributed before December 25. A small batch was shipped to Dubai to be sold in the Brazil Pavilion at Expo 2020.
Sushi Hiroshi offers sushi and drink made with imported dates from the United Arab Emirates. A traditional Japanese restaurant, it is located at the district of Santana.
