The Arab country is the leading destination of egg exports from Brazil and stepped up its imports in the first two months of the year to 3,500 tonnes.
Revenue from hatching eggs and poultry genetic material exports from Brazil was up 26.7% last year. Volume was up 60.9%.
The Arab country continues to be the leading destination for Brazilian eggs and shipped 50% of the total exported volume. Overall exports grew 81.5% over the previous year.
The Arab country purchased 59% of exports from Brazil year to date through November. Qatar, Oman and Saudi Arabia also stood out.

Year-to-date through May, the Arab country purchased 335% more Brazilian eggs than a year ago. Exports were driven by the recovery of the levels of consumption in the UAE market, ABPA reported.
The decrease in Brazilian poultry purchases was driven by Saudi Arabia’s strategy of local production and the decline in tourism in Dubai, UAE, and religious tourism in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
