Speaking at the Brazil Africa Forum on Tuesday (31) in São Paulo, foreign policy adviser Celso Amorim reaffirmed the importance of Africa for the Brazilian government. Amorim met with UAE minister on the sidelines of the forum.

Tripoli-based authorities had meetings last week with Brazil Africa Institute president João Bosco Monte and expressed the desire to revive the relations their country once had with Brazil.
