Workers install the new Kiswa, a black silk and gold-embroidered cloth that covers the Kaaba, at the Grand Mosque in the holy city of Mecca on Tuesday (16), marking the Islamic New Year. The occasion is celebrated across Muslim countries, many of which observe a public holiday to mark the beginning of the Islamic calendar.
