The Light for the Future project aims to install photovoltaic panels in schools in the Arab country, which is currently experiencing an energy crisis, having electrical power for only one to two hours a day. The goal is for the Brazilian-Arab community to support ten schools with USD 150,000. USD 90,000 have already been raised.

In an effort organized by the Brazil Friendship Group in the Middle East, families of Lebanese origin provided the institution that assists children in Ashqout with food, cleaning supplies, and toys.

Due to the current situation, the Arab country sees the departure of professionals and youth, researcher Roberto Khatlab said. He addressed the subject during a webinar on immigration hosted by the Arab House.
