Of Syrian Lebanese origin, Maha Mamo and her sister were the first stateless persons to have recognized Brazilian nationality. Now, she tells her story to broaden the discussion on the topic and will have a text launched in a project by Sao Paulo’s Museum of Immigration.

The Lebanese-descendant writer launched earlier this year her new novel “Elas marchavam sob o sol” [They marched under the sun]. The writer was a finalist of the Jabuti Award 2018 and won São Paulo Prize for Literature with her previous novel.
