Ambassador Nelson Antonio Tabajara de Oliveira has taken over as head of the representation of Brazil’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in São Paulo. A visit to the Arab-Brazilian Chamber on Monday (17) marked the beginning of the diplomat’s talks with the chambers of commerce established in São Paulo.

Diplomat Osmar Chohfi concluded his second term as president of the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday (28) and now joins its Advisory and Deliberative Board. The expansion of the halal market was a highlight of his tenure.
A mission organized by Brazilian Ministries with support from the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce will visit Kenya, Egypt, and Ethiopia from December 6 to 15. Business meetings and seminars will be an opportunity to showcase Brazilian know-how in producing food, plastics, toys, and cosmetics, among other products.
The Brazilian Cooperation Agency’s Humanitarian Cooperation general coordinator José Solla visited Brazil’s Syrian Sports Club, where he signed an agreement for the government to collect and send medicine donations by plane to the Arab country hit by earthquakes in February. The emergency campaign Together for Syria is still accepting donations.
In a speech, the new Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, Mauro Vieira, highlighted the work needed for the country to regain its leading role in the international community and spoke about the resumption of relations with Latin America, the Caribbean, and Africa.
The foreign ministers of both countries signed a document whereby their diplomatic academies have become partners. Brazil’s FM Aloysio Nunes is in the Arab country on an official visit.
