Brazilian businesswoman Maria Eduarda Becker has made her career in Dubai, where she founded Três Marias Coffee and partnered up with trading company Ally Coffee in the MENA region. Innovating during the pandemic, she launched an instant coffee made from specialty beans, a pioneer product in the Middle East.

Brazilian Secretariat for Ports director of New Concessions and Port Regulation Policies Fabio Lavor said that despite the pandemic, the highest industry throughput on record is expected this year. He spoke during a webinar hosted by the Arab Chamber and the Union of Arab Chambers this Wednesday (12).

The administration wrapped up the current school year with all students promoted. The rest of the second semester will be merged with the first semester of the next school year, which begins on October 4 and will possibly consist of e-learning.

Though hardly a new concept, the Low Touch Economy has been fast-tracked by the pandemic, Natalia Klafke of Radix explained during an Arab Chamber webinar. She noted that a behavioral change is in order, and that small businesses will be faced with the challenge of connectivity.
