The Arab country increased its purchases of fertile eggs and one-day-old chicks from Brazil by 1,727%, according to Brazilian poultry lobby.

South Africa and Senegal are some of the leading importers of hatching eggs and day-old chicks from Brazil. May’s exports added up to 2,650 tonnes, national industry lobby ABPA said.
A study published last week by ApexBrasil assesses the potential of the Moroccan market for Brazilian lobsters and poultry genetics. Brazil’s agricultural attaché to Rabat, Ellen Laurindo, said these are products that aren’t yet exported to the country.
Sector foreign sales, which include day-old chicks and hatching eggs, increased by 93.7% in March. Saudi Arabia made substantial purchases, according to a sector entity.
Poultry genetic material shipments from Brazil totaled 5,100 tonnes from January to April. Day-old chicks and fertile eggs, among others, were exported.
Request was submitted to the Ministry of Agriculture in 2019, and International Zoosanitary Certificate was completed this year.
Launch of the Brazilian Breeders occurred during the International Poultry and Pork Show. Project is led by ABPA and Apex-Brasil.
