Play “O profeta” is a philosophical adaptation of the book by Lebanon’s Khalil Gibran, starring musician Sami Bordokan. Performances will take place in Teatro B32 until June 11.

São Paulo-based musician Sami Bordokan is one of the best-know names when it comes to Arab music in Brazil. Besides singing, playing different instruments and writing, Bordokan is now performing as an actor in the musical The Prophet.
Musical adaptation of Kahlil Gibran’s work will be performed from October 8 to 16 on Saturdays and Sundays.
The 2nd edition of the event will take place from September 26 to 29, featuring exhibitions, films and artistic performances in a bid to put Arab culture in the spotlight.
It will include a photo exhibit from Gibran’s collection in three São Paulo subway stations and at Espaço Cultural of Conjunto Nacional, between June and August. A ceremony is scheduled for June 12 at Teatro Sesi.
