The Arab country increased its sector’s shipments by 17% this year until October, with a growth in sales of products such as dates and the entry of tomatoes into new regional markets.

This is the second time this year that the Arab country authorizes the purchase of new products from Brazil, as Saudi imports of vegetable seeds were cleared in March.

According to the Food Export Council, revenue reached USD 4.1 billion last year. The main products exported were rice, grains, onions, garlic, potatoes, vegetables, fruits, citrus, and peanuts.
The Consulate General of Syria in São Paulo has made available to importers a list of roughly 50 types of items the country can supply in 2021.
Widam, one of the country’s largest beef suppliers, now sells this and other food products by app. In its website, the company states it sells bovine meat from Brazil.
