São Paulo – The 13th edition of the International Fair of the Embassies will gather 84 countries, among them the Arab countries Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Syria, Sudan and Tunisia. The exhibition will be held on November 10, at Expobrasília, in Parque da Cidade, Brasília, from 10 am to 7 pm, with cultural, music and art performances and typical food. The event is open to the public, with tickets costing BRL 10 (USD 2.81) for adults, BRL 5 (USD 1.41) for children 6 to 12 years old, and free entry to kids from zero to 5 years old. The funds raised will be fully donated to Brazilian charity organizations, such as hospitals, orphanages, associations, communities in need, social centers, daycares and non-governmental organizations. The fair’s organization also suggests to visitors to donate non-perishable foods for the food bank of the Federal District.
Among the attractions in the program are performances of belly dance with Lebanese dancer Zamzam El Eter, of Arab dances, by the Folk Group Arab Oasis, from Syria. There will also be prize draws with airline tickets, electronic gadgets, art objects, courses, among others. The fair will also host an Auto Show, with a 15,000 square meters for the exhibition and sales of BMW, Audi and Renault vehicles, plus motorbikes and motorboats.
The initiative is from the Group of Partners of Heads of Mission (GCCM, in the Portuguese acronym), a non-governmental and non-profit organization managed by partners of ambassadors and heads of international organizations and has the support of the Federal District state government. The event also has the support of the private sector, with two Arab companies among the sponsors, Emirates Airline and the satellite company Yahsat. The event’s last edition took place in 2016.
