São Paulo – Brazilian exports generated US$ 4.921 billion in revenues last week, or US$ 984.2 million on average per working day, representing a 5.7% increase compared with the daily average in the first two weeks of March, according to figures disclosed by the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade this Monday (19th).
Imports stood at US$ 4.341 billion, at a daily average of US$ 890.6 million, a 0.4% decline using the same basis of comparison. As a result, the Brazilian balance of trade posted a US$ 468 million surplus in the third week of March.
So far this month, exports have reached US$ 11.438 billion and imports have reached US$ 10.710 billion, resulting in a US$ 728 million surplus.
