Tunis – Tunisair chairman and CEO Elyes Mnakbi expects record numbers for the 2018 summer season. According to him, the Tunisian airline could carry over 4 million passengers, and revenue is also poised to reach an all-time high.
“This will be an exceptional season, with Tunisians returning from abroad concurrently with the pilgrimage (to Mecca) and 12 flights of the Tunisian national football team to Russia,” Tunis Afrique Presse (TAP) quoted Mnakbi as saying this Thursday (28).
Tunisia beat Panama 2-1 today in the third round of the FIFA World Cup’s Group Phase in Russia, placing third in Group G, after England and Belgium, which moved on to the Round of Sixteen.
TAP said Tunisair will also ensure transportation for the bulk of tourists visiting the country this summer.
