Tunis – The date production in Tunisia could hit a record high this year. A crop of 330 thousand tonnes is expected, said Minister of Agriculture, Water Resources, and Fisheries, Samir Taïeb. Information are from Tunisian news agency TAP.
Tunisia has exported 45 thousand tonnes of dates to date and expects to reach a volume of 130 or 140 thousand tonnes.
Last year, Brazil imported USD 3.1 million worth of dates form Tunisia, up 17% from a year before, according to the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce.
