São Paulo – The United Arab Emirates have opened their market to Brazilian bovine embryos, according to information released by Brazil’s Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock on Tuesday (16). The move follows the conclusion of sanitary negotiations between the two countries.
According to the ministry’s statement, the decision by the UAE reflects international recognition of the genetic quality of Brazil’s cattle herd. Between January and November this year, the Arab country imported more than USD 2.3 billion in Brazilian agricultural products.
The ministry also reported that, with these announcements, Brazilian agribusiness has reached 511 market openings since the beginning of 2023, and that these results are the outcome of joint efforts by Brazil’s Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
