World Social Forum to receive over 100,000 people
The event, to take place between January 26 and 31 in Porto Alegre, already has 70,000 participants from 120 countries enrolled. A total of 1,900 activities have been programmed, among them debates, conferences and cultural programmes. The Forum is returning to Brazil after having taken place in Mumbay, India, last year. The Brazilian Foreign Office (Itamaraty) has decided to simplify the issue of visas to foreigners interested in participating.
