This Wednesday (9) in your ANBA Bulletin: An exhibitor at Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce’s stand at Anuga, company Arbaza struck deals with importers from across the Middle East, especially Egypt, during the world’s biggest food industry show, which wrapped up this Wednesday (9) in Cologne, Gemarny. The company received orders of beans, popcorn and sesame. Our products are well received in the Arab market due to their quality and the pricing, which is competitive more often than not,” said Arbaza International Relations manager Eduardo Balestreri (pictured, R) to journalist Isaura Daniel.
The Chamber’s goal in having a space in the show was precisely connecting Arabs and Brazilians. “We’re very pleased as we leave Anuga. It really is a very big fair, with a very high number of fairgoers and exhibitors,” Marketing and Strategy director Janine Bezerra de Menezes said.
Check out also that Saudi Arabia is looking to become a pharma industry hub. Local market turnover is USD 8.2 billion and, more than any other product, the country wants to attract investment to the sector. “Brazilian companies can come to our country alone or in joint ventures,” said Raed Al-Swayed, vice president of Saudi Pharma Industrial Clusters, a Ministry of Industry arm, during a seminar at the Arab Chamber. “We’re a market whose population is increasing and aging,” he added.
And starting October 12, Rio de Janeiro’s Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil will host “Ancient Egypt: from day-to-day to eternity,” an exhibition that will feature 140 pieces from Museo Egizio in Turin, Italy, which boasts the second-biggest collection on Egypt in the world – trailing only the Cairo Museum. Next year, it will travel to São Paulo, Brasília, and Belo Horizonte.
