São Paulo – This Wednesday (19), the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade informed that export revenues this year have already surpassed the total figure for 2010. According to the ministry, from January until last Tuesday (18), Brazil exported the equivalent of US$ 202.071 billion, as against US$ 201.915 billion in the whole of last year. Thus, foreign sales in 2011 have already reached an annual record.
The ministry estimates that by the end of the year, export revenues will reach US$ 257 billion. If confirmed, the figure will represent a 27% increase over 2010.
