São Paulo – Representatives of the Algeria-based company Societé Farlfk Biofood will attend Apas 2012 – 28th Supermarket Congress and Business Fair, promoted by the São Paulo Supermarket Association and due from May 7th to 10th in the city.
“They work with bonbons, peanuts, sugar, biscuits, coffee, canned goods such as maize and tomato, and grain. They also buy beef and are looking for suppliers of honey,” says Isac Andrade, of the Brazilian trading company Brasfood, which has been doing business with the Algerian importing company for two years now.
Biofood imports Brazilian products and resells them to supermarkets in Algeria. This is the first time that representatives of the company come to Brazil. “They are coming to prospect the market, to get to know new products and new companies,” says Andrade. Biofood already imports products from enterprises such as Bauducco, Predilecta and Vilheto.
“They are very important clients who usually buy two or three containers’ worth of each product,” says the trader of the Arab customers. “This year, we are expecting to sell 10 to 15 containers for them,” he says. In addition to maintaining clients in Algeria, Brasfood does business with Moroccan companies.
