São Paulo – The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce will host a preparatory meeting to the 31st Khartoum International Fair this Tuesday (17th). The event will take place from January 30th to February 6th, 2014 in Sudan.
At the meeting this week, the companies will be given information on the multisectorial fair and the potential of the Sudanese market. Companies interested in attending the meeting should contact the organization beforehand.
“The Sudanese a market has been growing a lot over the past few years. The Khartoum Fair has resulted in relevant deals to participating Brazilian companies,” says Suelma Rosa dos Santos, the Market Intelligence director of the Arab Brazilian Chamber.
She also notes that a parallel schedule of meetings will be kept during the fair. “The mission enables us to outline a schedule of visits to Sudanese authorities that are facilitators of trade between the two countries, and cause business to increase,” she says. The Brazilian participation in the fair is a partnership with the Brazilian Foreign Ministry.
Industries with the highest sales potential to Sudan include infrastructure, agricultural machinery, foodstuffs, electrical products, building material, medical-hospital products, and cosmetics. Last year, the country’s global imports amounted to a combined US$ 7.23 billion.
