São Paulo – The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce and newspaper Valor Econômico are going to promote seminar “Perspectives for Relations between Brazil and the Arab Nations” on October 17th, in the city of São Paulo. The event should take place in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Arab Brazilian Chamber, on July 2nd.
“The objective of the event is to show that the Arab world offers good perspectives for trade with Brazil,” said Michel Alaby, CEO at the Arab Brazilian Chamber. “For this reason, we invite specialists to discuss the financial crisis and economic alternatives for Brazil, in the point of view of foreign trade and investment,” he stated.
The seminar will have speakers like Fernando Pimentel, the minister of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, former Finance ministers Pedro Malan and Antônio Delfim Netto, as well as José Graziano da Silva, director general of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), Rubens Gama Dias Filho, director of the Trade Promotion and Investment Department at the Itamaraty and Luiz Gonzaga Belluzzo, an economist and former director of Campinas College (Facamp).
“This is an important event celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Arab Brazilian Chamber, and it will include the main specialists in economics and foreign trade,” said Alaby.
The president at the Arab Brazilian Chamber, Salim Taufic Schahin, and Alaby should also speak at the event. The seminar should have 200 seats and enrolment for participation is free of charge.
