São Paulo – A B2B will put big retailers from the city of São Paulo in touch with potential suppliers on August 7 at the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce in São Paulo. The event will run from 9 am to 6 pm and is held by the São Paulo Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (SP Negócios) and the Brazilian Association of Equipment and Services Industry for Retail (ABIESV).
The Arab Brazilian Chamber is one of the partners and supports the B2Bs. In addition to host the event at its office, the Chamber’s members may participate for a promotional price. “We understand that it’s very important for the Arab Brazilian Chamber to have strong partners such as SP Negócios and ABIESV. Being at B2Bs brings the participating companies together and opens a new channel for our members to network within Brazil,” said Arab Brazilian Chamber secretary-general Tamer Mansour.
At the B2Bs, suppliers from food and beverage, pets, retail solutions, textile and cosmetic industries will be able to present their companies, products and services to retailers. Face-to-face meetings will be scheduled according to the participants’ demands and profile matching.
“We must value more our own companies and encourage products’ sale and purchase, thus generating more job opportunities and income for the people,” said SP Negócios chairman in a release. ABIESV chairman and Expor Manequins CEO Marcos Andrade said at the release that the event will have a conductive environment for retailers to find high-quality and specialty suppliers, and for suppliers to showcase their businesses, products and services.
The B2Bs will be focused on suppliers from the city of São Paulo. The purchasers may be from other cities and states. Confirmed attendees include the retailers Aramis, Boali Comida Saudável, Comesp, General Prime Burger, Grupo Avenida, Handbook, Ikesaki, The Body Shop, Urban Remedy, and others.
Arab Brazilian Chamber commercial manager Daniella Leite said that the Arab Brazilian Chamber involvement is an effort to bring new opportunities for its members and will serve as training for B2Bs outside Brazil. The registration price is BRL 3,000 (USD 798), but members from the partner organizations, including the Arab Brazilian Chamber, pay a little bit over half the value, BRL 1,750 (USD 463). For companies that are part of the program São Paulo Exporta, it costs BRL 750 (USD 198).
The partners organizations are Brazilian Housewares and Home Decoration Association (ABCasa), Brazilian Chocolates, Peanut and Candies Manufacturers Association (Abicab), Brazilian Electrical and Electronics Industry Association (Abinee), Brazilian Textile and Apparel Association (Abit), Brazilian Association of Food Equipment, Ingredients and Accessories Industries (Abiepan), Commercial Association of São Paulo (ACSP), Brazilian Council for Import and Export Companies (CECIEx), Pet Brazil (IPB), and Association for Promotion of Brazilian Software Excellence (SOFTEX).
